Systems Specialist - RR Donnelley Logistics/APX Logistics
  Provide technical expertise and high-level support to branch information systems. Duties include maintaining an in-depth knowledge of mission-critical systems and applications to provide a high-level of support to branch information systems. Administrate systems at various levels (Database, Network, etc) and assist in programming, system analysis, and data research, and general UNIX system administration (QNX). Was on-call 24/7 for company-wide support.

Accomplishments:
Designed and managed the Field IT Infrastructure website (Apache and PHP). Assisted in numerous facility startups, shutdowns, and moves across the country. Deployed all QNX OS and proprietary software updates across all facilities. Responsible for designing a series of queries against the corp. Oracle db which would list all late and returned packages that RR Donnelley had paid postage for but were not required to pay the 3rd part carrier because of the late or misrouted packages saving the company thousands of dollars. Updated, and maintained the branch IT infrastructure documentation.

Information Systems Supervisor - RR Donnelley Logistics
  Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the branch's computer and data processing functions. Develop and maintain written policies and procedures that govern the computer and data processing functions of the branch. Assist in programming, system analysis, and data research. Assume the administrative authority, responsibility and accountability of directing the computer and data processing functions and programs. Was on-call 24/7 for facility level support.

Accomplishments:
Moved all previous MS Access programs used to query the SQL server to web based using ASP. Designed a menu system for the QNX servers used to simplify routine but time consuming functions that users had to do on a regular basis. Redesigned the local branch QNX server webpage (in PHP) to add additional information and give the status of the servers for monitoring purposes which was adapted company-wide.

Dock Loader/Fill-in Dock Supervisor - The Modesto Bee
  Dock Supervisor duties included making sure the staffing requirements were met and all runs were completed by the appointed time. Usually supervised several times a week for approximately 8 years managing around 25 dock loaders and drivers. Loading duties included making sure the correct newspaper bundle count got on the correct trucks for delivery to the warehouses.

  Duties included driving a Dial-A-Ride bus on an open route for the elderly and disabled to and from different locations in and around the Modesto area. Class B license w/GPPV certificate was required.
